Tonight's topic at WOW

Hey ya'll! I thought I'd share what we talked about tonight at WOW. We talked about how to be happy, but not taking short cuts. Such as acting happy, listening to music, playing video games, and getting busy. We also talked about that yes, these things will make you happy, but not for long. But God will. So, my youth pastor had us do a taste test. And here is what was going through my mind,
"Oh great, this is not good."
And the reason being, is because sometimes my youth pastor likes to make us well, embarrassed lets just put it and leave it at that. So I walked up to the choices. There was cheese on crackers, Peanut butter on crackers, milk, chocolate chips, baloney, and bacon. Well, I don't eat baloney or bacon, and I don't really drink milk, so that left me to the chocolate chips and the crackers. I just chose the cheese and crackers. It tasted fine and normal. So, I sat back down at my spot and then, my youth pastor told us what was real, and what wasn't.

The cheese (Veggie cheese), the Peanut butter (Peanot butter), the milk (Soy milk), the baloney (Veggie baloney), the bacon (Veggie bacon), and the chocolate chips. (Ah man, I forgot what they were really made of! Oops)

But anyway, he was trying to tell us that somethings are not what they seem. Listening to music may make you happy for a short while, but in the long run, no. It won't. But God's love will! Here is a chapter from the bible that he share with us. Read carefully!

Psalms 100

1 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.

3 Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his [a] ;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.

5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations

This may be a short chapter, but it is loaded with information for us on how to be truly happy! Read it again and look at the bold sections more carefully. This is a wonderful chapter, and just like he did, I'm going to encourage you to memorise it! It is only five verses! FIVE! You can do it! I'm sure going to try! Oh yeah, he also played this video for us. We are sponsoring a compassion child in Rwanda. So watch this too!

My very fun(ny) riding lesson!

Yesterday I had a riding lesson and I got to ride Leo. I was thinking "Yes! Finally a calm horse after Febe!" But man I was SOOOOOO wrong!!!!!! (Here is an attitude description of Leo. Calmest horse you'll meet.) I got in the stall and he was antsy, I just thought that it was because he wanted to go out and be ridden, I got out to the arena and he kept trying to bite me! So, I slapped him in the face and hopped on. He refused to walk so I kept stopping and going, stopping and going. Finally Jill told me I could trot, but then he just wanted to canter! I was so confused! With Leo I've always gotta urge him on to even trot! So Again, stop and go, stop and go. Then... (This is the kinda funny kinda scary part.) he started doing the bunny hop! I'm not kidding! All four legs off the ground at the same time jumping up and down. After about ten minutes I got him to stand still and Jill (My instructor) told me to get off and she was going to try ride him out of it. First though, she kicked him in the stomach really hard. She didn't take my helmet though when she got on. When she hopped on and let him canter. Then, he reared. I freaked out because she didn't have a helmet on. Then he did it again, and he was vertical! Like a straight line! Now, I was kinda laughing because it was a totally different horse! She hopped off and kicked him again and hit him with the reins. She told Ann (A girl who works there to pay for her lessons) to get her a lunge rope and a whip. Right after she put the line on, he went into a full pledged canter and then gallop! Ann, Jill and I were all in hysterics! This wasn't the Leo we all knew! It was crazy! He fell on his side once and his bottom once too I think. After about twenty plus minutes he was calmed down and soooooo sweaty! He was completely drenched with sweat. He smelled like a wet dog. *Yuck* Jill got on for a few minutes and then let me on. I was giggling still, and after I got on, it was the same old Leo.
So yeah, that is my very funny, odd and maybe even scary story! I'm tellin' yeah... there is never a dull moment when it comes to horses!

(Note: Don't worry, Leo wasn't hurt at all during this lesson. He is such a huge animal, so don't worry. If anyone would have got hurt, it would have been either me or Jill. All the slapping, kicking, and falling probably didn't fase him at all really! I just thought I'd let you know that!)

Saturday Fun

Hello! Well, Saturday may be people's favorite day of the week, it can be hard sometimes to think of something to do. You REALLY shouldn't be a couch potato, but sometimes it seems like that is the only thing you can do. So, here are a few things that may help you get your bottom off that couch!

1. Scrapbook
It is fun, and it can be silly. I'm making a scrapbook about my friends. It will be interesting to see the pictures I get. LOL
2. Cook
Make something from scratch! But, make sure you clean up after yourself. Or your parents will have a fit.
3.CLEAN
I know, it doesn't sound fun, but your parents will ADORE you for doing it!
4. Go outside!
Run, bike, swim, ski, whatever you like to do outside do it! Unless it is raining or you have really bad weather.
5.Pray
Talking to God can really be fun. Just talk to him like he is your best friend. Or, your dad. He loves it when you do that. And, before you know it, an hour could have gone by!

Riding...

I love riding. It is my favorite thing to do! Well, that and go to my youth group WOW. lol, but anyway... I rode again today. It was a great lesson. I rode Febe again, but she was kind of a pain. She gets distracted SO easily! So, she stopped constently and turned her head to look at the bird that just hopped. *Rolls eyes* and it is really, REALLY hard to move a 1,000 (maybe, not sure) plus pound stubborn animal. But, I managed too. I trotted over a log a lot today, which was fun, unless Febe stopped and it too five minutes to get over it. But yeah, oh all you other riders may know what I'm talking about when I say this next thing. Isn't it SO annoying when a rain drop (Or melted snow drop) falls through your helmet's holes and right on your head! That happened today, it was very gross and cold. It was melted snow that leaked through my stable's roof. So yeah, it was fun still. I always have fun riding! Have a good day!!!!!!!
